Cross-border Talks: hot July in South-Eastern Europe

We are excited to launch a new international media initiative – the Cross-Border Talks podcast will be co-hosted by Małgorzata Kulbaczewska-Figat, Strajk’s deputy editor and author of numerous texts on Eastern European politics, and Vladimir Mitev, member of the editorial team of The Barricade and blogger specializing in international affairs.
Cross-Border Talks seeks to bring about a better understanding of what is happening in the world. Experienced journalists and reporters, Małgorzata and Vladimir, aim to look at international relations beyond the stereotypes and cliches. They point out important factors and draw logical conclusions bringing you innovative analysis and reporting. The podcast will be an independently minded initiative, promoting change, progress, regional cooperation, and critical thinking.
In the episode 01, we take on two topics – elections in Moldova and Bulgaria and the Three Seas Initiative Summit, in Sofia. How do these societies, long ruled by omnipotent oligarchs, try to fight back? What is the Three Seas Initiative and how can economic interests overcome big geopolitics?
